Hi everyone well what a difference 8 weeks can make, when I started this plan, I was very optimistic as to whether it would actually work but I was very pleased when celebrity slim and the pulse choose me to do this challenge it was like a gift.
I started this diet with one goal in mind that was to improve my overall health and reduce my weight. As I said when I began this challenge I just had to look in the mirror and hate the way I looked (you wouldn’t find me on photographs), I could see myself getting bigger I thought it was just one of those mirrors that you see in a circus that give you that impression but unfortunately it wasn’t.
Over the last 8 weeks, I have seen my body change shape gradually and my weight decrease, even though slowly at some times, it has always gone down. I can honestly say without the help of celebrity slim and the pulse my weight would have probably increased as I remained in my current lifestyle. I have now learnt through this diet that you can still eat and enjoy food, without being excessive and it’s about the choices I had been making.
The diet for me has been a great success and I will hopefully continue to lose weight gradually. I have lost a total of 22lbs over the last 8 weeks and I am absolutely thrilled. The comments from work when I returned were fantastic, I loved it everyone seeing the results and a few of my friends are now actually doing the diet themselves.
For all you that have been reading my blog and following my progress I would just like to say thank you. I shall miss doing this it has been great. The support network is fantastic and there are always people around to ask questions when stuck. So gone has the fat frumpy me, to a slimmer happier me. The loss of the weight has improved my health and made to feel much better in myself.
The results speak for themselves. 22lb ½ pounds lighter yes ladies cant forget that all important ½ pound it makes all the difference, I have lost inches off my waist…ya hoo, nearly got a waist now.
So I would like to say thank you to everyone and well done to all those other slimmers out there and to my Celebrity slimmer’s Ali and Bev.
My little shaker maker, will still stay in my kitchen on view as that has become one of the most important things in my bag lately. All you celebrity slim ladies out there will understand.
As the advert goes you can lose weight and feel great…Next time I look in the mirror I will smile…thanks everyone.
Hi everyone, another week over…and only 1/2lb lighter this week.
Quite disappointed with the weight loss this week, I have stuck to the plan 100 % is does make you wonder if its all worthwhile, but when I look back over the 7 weeks I still feel I have done really well, even if I wanted to lose more weight this week than 1/2lb. Told my hubby I was sulking with the weight loss, and he told me to cheer up as I had done fantastic so far, can not understand why it has slowed down so much.
Not been too bad a week, been busy with the kids, doing plenty of walking, the only thing I can think of is, that as I am getting fitter my muscles are weighing more (muscle mass) that’s my excuse.
Even though disappointed with this week’s weight loss, I will continue to try for next week as we are now nearing the end of the challenge. I am still enjoying but I am hoping to lose a bit more before the end of the challenge. Well here’s hoping.
Well its back to normal this week, kids back at school and me back at work, there will be no temptation around, not that it’s bothered me anyway. I am hopefully going to continue this challenge even after the 8 weeks has finished as I like what I see in the mirror now, only it’s prompted me to try a little harder. I would like to get out of the obese zone and into the risk at overweight zone and you know what I am nearly there.
The only advise I can give to fellow dieters is when your weight loss is low don’t give up and reach for the biscuit tin, preserve and you persistent will pay off. The support and comments you get from other people are brilliant. It is especially great when you can go into a shop and just pull of the shelf a size smaller and not worry about it being too tight…that’s the best feeling. I am thrilled with my weight loss so far, but will give it my best for the last part of the challenge. Thanks celebrity slim for giving me the opportunity to lose weight and definitely feel great.
Week 7 and 20lbs lighter … you can’t fault that.
Hi everyone, another week over…and 2lb lighter this week, its great.
It’s absolutely great, to be able to pick a size smaller clothes of the rack, and they fit with room to spare the feeling is second to none, its that inspiration that keeps you going and the fact that you feel good in what you are wearing, instead of feeling frumpy.
Is has been quiet a hard week for me this week, with the kids being home and treats all around the house, but I haven’t given in to temptation, I have been really good. Done some gardening and generally tried to keep up with more light exercise.
I have mixed up my eating plan a bit this week, as I was disappointed with last weeks weight loss 1/2lb it makes you feel like it is it all worth while. So this week I had a healthy breakfast snack, like scrabbled eggs, or a muller light yogurt and then I had a shake, lunch could have been bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, (nothing fried) then a shake in the afternoon with maybe a fish and green beans for tea. It is hard knowing what to eat and when you can eat for your healthy snacks but there is plenty of ideas on the celebrity slim website for recipes and there are hints and tips from other people doing the diet, the network of support is fantastic. The message of support from friends and family keeps you spurned off to do another week.
All through this experience my little shaker maker, has become the most important piece of equipment in this diet, and I would be lost without it, even the kids now call my shaker maker Mrs S, and keep renewing the drawn on smile when it washes off.
For all you out there that are reading this and are dubious, all I can say is give it go, you wont be disappointed with the results, it is a great diet to follow, its really easy, can be a little expensive to some, although the results speak for themselves. The health benefits you will feel also are incredible
My week has been full of ups and downs, but at the end when you get weighed and the scales speak for you the feeling is just great.
I am now 19 ½ lbs lighter.
You know ladies while sat in my car, The Pulse played a record by Bon Jovi I think living on a prayer and in it its says were ½ way there my cheeky hubby looked at me very seriously and said that’s you! Half way there.
Feeling much fitter now, can actually walk round shops without getting tired out, and I actually got to try on clothes a size smaller ladies, and yes that for me is a great achievement.
Friday we went to Skipton for a nosey round the stalls, and the town, and yes I walked everywhere, but it was torture when we got back to the car, the kids had fish and chips in the car, I was in the front salivating, I have never wanted to cause mischief to my kids as I did in the ½ hour drive home.. they smelt divine, but that’s all they did!!!
I think this week for me has been a hard week, with easter and my anniversary, not saying I ate extra but maybe I was not as choosy only time will tell. I think muscle mass has a lot to do with weight and that’s the excuse I am sticking to.
Still adding the fibre shakes to the milkshakes but there hasn’t been much natural rhythm as they say. Went out shopping on Sunday with my other slim buddy Ali for a something to wear for the reveal, we went in every shop twice, but wasn’t sure what sort of outfit to buy however to both our amazements we actually could get into a size smaller than normal Fantastic!!!!
We even went to Thorntons Chocolates and came out empty handied, not until we had at least sniffed the air for all those choc smells, we had a coffee and took our snack bars with us… yes I know Good Girls,.
Seemed to have done more walking this week, as I seem more fitter to be able to cope with it, and I had to do up my jeans with another notch on my belt, loving it. I have still got a long way to go, but with the help of Celebrity slim and the support of my celebrity slim buddies, and family I will continue to lose weight.
So its just time for the weigh in, not sure if they are going to be kind to me, they cant be every week, and kids glad you have eaten those eggs without sharing I will forgive you this time.
Weigh in results are……..
Not very good this week,L only 1/2lb off, I know its neither here or there, but its better off than on, I am a little disappointed but on the bright side, I lost 4cm off my waist, so pleased with that, will have to try harder this week and ensure I keep up with the water. But all in all its total weight loss of 1 stone 3 ½ lbs now…
Well I went to the pharmacy today, to be weighed, but I only lost 900g which is 2lbs..but I put on 1cm on my waist don’t know how that happened though, will have to try and breathe in harder next time.
I am still determined to carry on, I know its doesn’t sound a lot 900g but it is off better than on. So here’s to week 5, ½ way there now. Got my new supplies and fibres sachets so I will try again this week, maybe I became a little to complacent, but I am now more determined to get a good result next week, might have to watch what I am eating for my healthy meal.
So me and my mate Mrs Shaker, are starting a new week fresh, but I feel a lot healthier and slimmer which is great. My skin is much better too. I have lost over 4 ½ inches on my thighs whichi am very pleased about. All in all, I have now lost 1 stone and 3lbs which is absolutely fantastic which i am really thrilled about.
PS Kids if you are reading this, please no Easter eggs for mummy this week! Flowers or hugs will do!
As the weeks go on its gets better and better, I feel fitter and I could even put my belt on the next notch, what a brilliant achievement and such an incentive for me.
Monday night after weigh in went out for a curry with my hubby, I know what your all thinking but I was good, I have chicken tikka pieces with salad, no naans, or chapattis with a slim line vodka and tonic with ice…that was very good of me…and I loved it. ….
Tuesday
My new Wii game came, Just Dance, well if you had seen me trying to dance to the songs, when I have no Co-ordination it was very funny my eight year old just laughed at me. It was great fun though. Will have to try it again,
Snack time, having an apple and a pint of diluted juice, to catch up on my water levels, then it will be teatime, having fish and green beans. (yes of course it’s a boil in the bag). Then taking a snack bar out with me as out at school. I have got some fibre sachets this week to add to the shakes you can’t taste them at all, and this my help my body as they say get back in its natural rhythm (nice way to put it).
Wednesday/Thursday
I had my shakes today with my fateful friend being there to support me. Had soups for lunch as they are lovely and fill you up to carry on for the rest of the day. Still getting people stopping me and asking is that you on the radio, and its great, as it a great conversation starter.
Friday.
A few more comments…and it still make me laugh to hear myself on the radio, haven’t done much exercise in the last couple of days, don’t know where the time has gone.
Saturday/Sunday
Got up Saturday to go do the shopping after my shake, what is it with men that they have to park miles away from the stores, my hubby said it will help me with my exercises cheeky man, I think it is his parking that’s the problem. Well another day done and its getting closer to weigh in, had my shakes today and I had a nice tea, I have had eggs, beans, mushrooms and some grilled bacon for tea, absolutely yummy, cant fault it, is this really a diet my hubby asks.
Spent Sunday ironing, and pottering around the house, played my new wii dance game for a bit and the whole family joined in. Still enjoying the shakes and snack bars, having roast pork for tea with veg and gravy minus the potatoes. Weigh in tomorrow I wonder if the scales will be nice to me!!!
Hi Ladies weekend went fine, don’t know where the burst of energy came from on Sunday, I cleaned the rabbit hutch, washed the windows did some gardening. Its got to be these shakes they must have a secret energy ingredient or the fact is I am getting slimmer..yes I said slimmer.
Well its weigh day to day, and I was very anxious week 3, I turned up at Rowlands as normal, with my short hair cut, and as we all do, started taking off layers of clothes. (watch and all). Well I was pleasantly surprised I lost 3 ½ lbs and a cm of my waist, that’s a total of 1 stone 1lb in 3 weeks and 11 cm off my waist. Its fantastic. The diet does work and its not hard work at all, if you can block you nose to the nice smell of toast in a morning then have a go. Its also nice to be told you are looking good and people are now noticing my weight loss, especially my hubby..
So ladies, me and my friend Mrs Shaker are getting ready for another week, tried the new flavours forest fruits as I bought a sample pack, they are delicious, if you haven’t tried them, its worth trying them.
So thank you to everyone for your support and all of those comments, keep them rolling in, and here’s to week 4. I know its flying by now…soon be the big reveal in Bolton.
1 stone 1lb lighter roll on Week 4 and a slimmer me, its great.
The daily life of a celebrity Slimmer.
I am beginning to have some sort of weird relationship now with my milkshake shaker, it has pride of place in the kitchen. With its smiley face looking at me. I know it’s sad, but all those ladies out there doing the celebrity slim diet will understand.
Tuesday. Full of determination to get a good weigh in at the end of the week, my best friend in my bag, here we go a shake for breakfast, I mean Banana shake, snack bar, and then soup ½ day done. Going to get my hair cut today, maybe having my hair cut will reduce the pounds of the scales you never know do you and every little helps. Went to my autistic support group, and yes there was cakes, biscuits and more cakes (someone’s birthday) I don’t know how I did it but I resisted but I had to explain to the group why. They all went out for a curry for lunch and I nicely declined went home with my new best friend and had a shake very proud of myself. Snack bar for those mid afternoon munchies, then a homemade chicken curry with salad and a small dip. ½ hour on the wii fit….time for bed.
Wednesday its work today, and a few of the girls noticed and said I looked much slimmer..what an incentive, so it’s a shake for brekkie, fruit for a snack and yummy soup for dinner and a natter with the girls at lunch. Back to it, snack then home for tea…mmm wonder what I can make tonight.
Thursday and Friday working sticking to it quite well, drinking plenty, good job the toilets are across from the office. Still enjoying the soups and shakes. I have a water bottle in the car now. It’s nearly the weekend and time for week 3 weigh in, doesn’t it go quick. Had a good week at work managed to not pick at the crisps and grapes in the staff room. home to my chicken and salad. Oh yes and the dog, hubby and kids and my faithful shaker. Roll on the week end.
Monday is weigh in day and today i lost 3 3/4lbs, this week, thats 11 3/4lbs in total in two weeks. The week has gone well, tried a few different shakes this week, the forest fruits is really nice. I had a good week, been on the wii fit trying to get fitter as well as hopefully slimmer. I have heard myself quite abit on the radio this week and i still cant get over the fact that i am on the radio, it makes me chuckle everytime. The kids listen out for it and tell there friends that it is there mum on the radio, (its there claim to fame) I have to say though, i tried the meal replacement bars this week, the caramel one and its definately not for me, didnt like it, i think i will stick to the soups it makes you feel like you have had something to eat.
I am not particularly craving anything at the moment, i am learning to manage the water better and now drink it hot with a drop of lemon or lime, it is quite nice. I have stuck to the plan this week, and i still am doing fine, finding things to eat hasnt been to hard, it is quite easy when you have 2 meals planned for you, its the snacks that you have to think about. The only thing that has been hard this week is being bloated and tummy trouble, nevermind thanks to the fibre sachets they work wonders in the milk shake and you cant even taste them. Some of the girls at work are interested in the diet now, i have given them the celebrity slim website as it proof it really does work.
I had to laugh though on mothers day i had strict instructions to stay in bed because the kids were doing me breakfast. Great i thought, yummy bacon and eggs. As i sat there waiting patiently in came the kids with flowers, cards and wine, lovely!!!! then i saw the tray my mouth started to water and then my sons passed me my tray and there it stood my milkshake served with flowers. I had to laugh, the kids thought it was funny too as it was so simple for them to make. I did get my own back though, when i made them wash up the tumbler!!.
I phoned my mum today in Scotland, and she said i was doing great she has got her neighbours looking at photo on the website. My hubby has just rung to offer his support and i have been on line and the support you get from all the people doing the challenge is great. I hope my pulse buddies Ali and Bev are doing fine.
Just got home from the school run and i am trouble the kids wanted to know how i had gone on today, i told them but they said mum you will have to look after your money better wont you!!! cheeky …kids must be nice to have no food worries, mum just cooks it and its there. I have to say aswell Janet from Rowlands said i looked different and looked like i had lost some weight, isnt that nice to hear.
So here i am now starting my week 3 and 11 3/4lbs lighter roll on week 3…lets hope we are all successful again.
Well what a difference a week can make on the celebrity slim diet. I have over the week enjoyed a variety of milkshakes, snackbars and soups. The veg soup is very nice, my favourite milkshake though has to be the banana, its very flavourful and yummy. I would like to say though the cafe au lait one is not that nice warm….i wonder who’s idea that was!!! I have tried the snack bars and i must say the berry one is very nice, the choc and mint one is not bad either and it is great to sit and eat one when everyone else is having biscuits, you dont feel like you are missing out then. However the water is still hard to do, i have added to the water a small amount of sugar free juice, it makes it easier to go down. I quite enjoy the fact that i can put stuff in my mouth, i mean real food that is, every couple of hours be it cheese of fruit or something as easy as a small salad. The celebrity slim website has some good receipes, the omelette is very nice and you can fill you plate with a side salad, or a small portion of beans what ever takes your fancy. I have even taken up to doing a bit of wii fit on an evening under the instructions of my kids! Lovely arent they, they are quite bossy when they want to be.
Overall the week, has been quite easy really, i have become a bit of celebrity people asking me if that is really me on the radio, and asking me questions about what i am doing and the diet. I went to my sons school parents evening and spoke about his progress however it turned out he had been telling his teacher about what i am doing and how he is helping me by hiding his crisps and sweets! Nice!!! My sons teacher then wanted to know all about it and on the way out school there was another photo of me in a different role…I am hoping in 8 weeks when i get slimmer that i can change that photo, i cant wait to see a slimmer me!
I have had plenty of support from Janet at the Rowlands Pharmacy in Clayton and all of my family. I have also made some great friends and contacts along the way from other celebrity slimmers doing the diet, via email, facebook and phone.
But ladies, after all the support and the hard work keeping myself same on the diet, week 1 for me was a great success. I lost a total of 4kg which Janet at Rowlands advised me that is 9lbs ladies. Thats 9lbs! Omg it is unbelievable, so if i can do it, anyone can. Losing 10lbs has given me the motivation to continue on to week 2…lets hope it is just as successful, fingers crossed and anything else i can cross at the moment!!
