Sunday- Day1
Went for a final blow out with the girls last night before taking on my 8 week challenge. Today is D day. 8 weeks to see a new me!
Had a café latte shake for brekkie –warm it was lovely. Chilled out in the bath as kids at my Mum’s.
Thought best to get the exercise in so put on my NEW walking boots and walked the mile or so to pick the kids up and then walked them home! A lot of moaning form Callum age 7 and Katie age 6- why aren’t we stopping at the garden centre coffee shop!!
Caramel shake for lunch- then took kids to the cinema as hubby Neil on nights. What can you smell all around a cinema….popcorn, yum yum. Resisted temptation by giving the kids half a tub of popcorn each in a plastic bag!
The 8 glasses of water are proving difficult and I’m missing my full strength coffee!
Monday Day 2
Strawberry shake for lunch. By the time I reached my first visit busting for the loo- managed 1 coffee and a hot water- dead proud of myself!!!
Carrot and cucumber as my mid morning snack in the car with yet more water
Banana shake for lunch….yuck!! Won’t be doing that again.
Decaf coffee at visit number 2 (polish that halo) and yet more water and an apple in the car on the way.
I’ll know ever fast food restaurant in the north. Visited Macdonalds twice ….for a wee- all this water!! If I get done for speeding in the A1 road works it’s coz I wanted the loo…again!!
Introduced myself to the staff at Rowlands Pharmacy in Cullingworth, they are lovely and will be fab for ideas and support
Tuesday Day 3
It’s a good job I was stuck in traffic on the M62 when I heard myself on the radio or I may have crashed the car!
It makes it all real now- eek- what have I let myself in for?
Choc shake for breakfast-yum yum, my favourite so far
Yet again far too many stops for the loo
Kids had a look in my bag of goodies from the chemist. Katie has her eye on the mint choc bars- Get off they are MINE!
Had a berry fudge bar for lunch that was great and far more filling than I thought it would be.
Callum fancies soup for tea with home made bread….he can have a tin out of the cupboard and keep his hooks off mine.
It’s great keeping in touch with the others on the challenge by email, real support!
Wed Day 4
I’m famous in the playground!! That’s now even more pressure!! But a brilliant incentive.
Another Choc shake for brekkie. I’ve now hit the bottle in the car…water of course but finding the sparkling flavoured sugar free ones much easier to drink.
Avoided all public loos today…just… but think some of my patient thinks I have a problem with the trips to the loo. I’ll be taking out shares in Andrex!!
Had the mint choc bar for snack- Katie can keep her hands off- they are scrummy.
Choc fudge bar for lunch. My glove box is filling up with Celebrity slim wrappers not mars bars and crisps- what a change
So far so good. I have found it relatively easy during the day, Shepherds pie with carrot and suede topping and chicken stir fry for tea have been nice too.
Thursday Day 5
I have lost all choice in our house as the Kids now choose and mix my shake for breakfast. Katie’s turn today so Strawberry….it’s pink! That was nice. It’s great to get the kids involved.
A baby bel cheese for snack. Dead proud of myself…asked for hot water at a visit today instead of full strength coffee!
Adsa for the loo today! I’ll get to know them all!!! A friend from school offered to buy me a she- pee so I could pee on the go….GREAT MATE!!
Had the mango bar for lunch it was very chewy but not unpleasant, I think it would be a good bar to have in future if I was hungry as the effort it took to eat it meant I didn’t think of my grumbling belly!!
Forgot my mid afternoon snack oohps!!
Chicken and suede with Carrots, cauliflower and broccoli for tea.
I was really peckish this evening, I think it was as I missed my snack.
Drank loads and ate some cherries but dreamt of food!!!
Friday Day 6
Callum’s turn to choose and make my shake caramel, yum!
Caramel bar for lunch. The caramel bar is definitely my favourite!
I am meeting a friend – Sarah- for the weekend who I have known since I was 5 years old. Karen from celebrity slim has given me some ideas of what to eat whilst I am staying in the hotel. I smuggled sparkling water and strawberries into the hotel room, a bit different to the wine and choc’s I’d usually take along.
I went for a long swim this evening whilst Sarah read OK magazine!
Ate a very sensible dinner, its amazing how different my menu choice was compared to a week ago.
Saturday Day 7
How good am I? I went for a long swim before breakfast!! I did have 1 glass of wine last night so felt it would be good to put in some extra exercise. Have kept up my water intake and my caffeine intake down!
Went around Leamington spa shopping, walked miles,….nice loo’s.
Sarah had a pastry, I watched her eat it then had my berry fudge bar. I was amazed I didn’t want to rip her arm off.
Had a lovely massage, I am now so relaxed.
Went for a curry this evening. I was very careful in my selection to ensure I kept in the meal plan guidelines.
I’m really pleased with myself, I have will power I didn’t know I had.
Sunday day 8
Another early morning dip in the hotel pool
Decided to go for it at breakfast, with bacon and eggs but lots of mushrooms and tomatoes too, so choose to have breakfast as my main meal today.
Chocolate shake for lunch and then a choc mint snack bar this afternoon. I did feel a sweet craving so that helped knock it on the head!
Had chicken soup this afternoon that was lovely and creamy.
I am glad I was in a hotel this weekend as there were no temptations in the kitchen cupboards to avoid.
I am soooo nervous about the weigh in tomorrow; I have so many people asking how it’s all going that I don’t want to let anyone down.
